Truman State’s McNair Program

Truman State’s McNair Program

According to their website,  the McNair program was established principally to address the lack of gender, racial, and income-level diversity among the professorate. The program was designed to provide disadvantaged college students with effective preparation for doctoral studies.

Participants are matched with professors who mentors the students through their undergraduate time at Truman.  From this program, they have helped mentor 22 students into doctoral programs!
