What is SCOPE?
SCOPE stands for Science and Citizens Organized for Purpose and Exploration. It is an organization created by Cynthia Kramer to:
- Engage the public through events and speaking engagements on Science and Technology
- Provide information ranging from informal/formal education, scholarships, internships and workforce opportunities.
- Facilitate a collaborative effort in the community to inter-weave the benefits of Science and Technology into their region.
Who is Cynthia Kramer?
Cynthia is a world traveler, wife, cancer survivor, executive director, and mom.
Why is Cynthia an expert?
Cynthia would not describe herself as an expert, but as someone who isn’t afraid to stand up and say, “I don’t understand. Can you explain it to me again, but this time in laymen terms.” She is searching out the answers on how to get into Science and Technology and editing the information for you.
Why does she do this?
Cynthia remembers how overwhelmed she felt when she wanted to help navigate her son towards his goals. She was overwhelmed with all the resources out there, and never felt there was a trusted resource she could go to. She saw the need and wanted to fill it!
Why focus on science and technology?
Cynthia knows science and technology is the future. She knows of all the innovation that has come out of Missouri and wants it to be a leader again.
How is SCOPE funded?
SCOPE is grateful to have private funding support and the collaboration we have on grants. We are not affiliated with any organization and this ensures you get an objective viewpoint about the organizations we highlight and work with.
I’m an adult who knows a lot, can I help?
We are looking for adults throughout the state who are willing to help parents navigate their children interest into Science and Technology and other adults retooling their career. Contact us to see how you can help!
